With this many multiseason deer tags left, I’m pretty surprised. There’s a good chance there still will be tags by the high buck opener which begs the question if multiseason deer should be de facto next season in select units.

Picked up my multi season deer today after being told on Saturday that they were all sold out... well the same teller said that they sold multiseason deer permits to everyone not just people who applied  since August.

Is this the first year that they sold all multi deer tags?

My buddy went to sportsman’s to get his multi deer today and they are sold out.
I may have posted to soon not sure,I got to this post and replied with the question. Now i'm not sure but if they do sell out would it be the first time?I feel if they do sell out the state will raise the prices for multi deer tags.

It would be totally fitting for WDFW to “whoops” and just sell as many as they can.  More revenue for them and...what, it’s gonna screw the already screwed up deer numbers worse?  They don’t care about anything but money!

I think one of the issues is tellers who do not know what they are doing. Multiseason tags have to be sold during WDFW business hours because WDFW needs a phone call from the teller to invalidate your original deer tag. So if you show up on a Saturday or Sunday the tag is not able to be issued because the WDFW office is not open. The teller will say... oh they are all sold out.

Happened to me a Costal. The teller said they were all sold out and she was selling them to people who did not purchase a multiseason applications... both thing were total BS.

I bought mine after hours at Fred Meyer and the checker didn't make a phone call.

Didn't ask for my previous tag either, so I don't think she knew what she was doing...

My experience is similar to others here.  As much as I am critical of WDFW, most of my licences buying SNAFU's are the problems with the person running the cash register.

I had no idea it was so easy to get a multi season deer tag. This is My first year to have one and I will buy one every year I have a chance. The flexability to hunt when I can is incredible. I missed out on the entire first archery season due to a second house purchase turning into a remodel. hunting was in the back of My mind the entire time, I felt like I was missing out. Now that it's finished and I'm free to use My time to hunt I still feel like I have all season and haven't missed out on anything. Because I still have 3 months.

Still some left, picked mine up yesterday afternoon (10/3).  Not sure how some of them are processing, as the Multi Season wasn't an option to purchase on my Wild ID account.  I told the dealer he had to call WDFW to cancel the tag I already had and then the multi season would show up to purchase.  Phone call made, WDFW cancelled my original tag and the Multi Season was then available to purchase.

Not as hectic as two years ago when purchasing a left over multi season Elk tag.  In the heat of the battle of pushing buttons and clicking links the computer issued me TWO multi season Elk tags.  WDFW caught right on to that as they called me later that day and asked if I had two tags.  Of course I "wasn't sure", but they asked for the license number on my tag, then informed me that if I did have another tag it was cancelled.
