I won't be this year as I've got too many other tags to hunt.  However, I still hate the way they do it.  Why not a second drawing with money up front?

I don’t think they could pull it off in the time they have :chuckle:

Probably not, but Idaho does...   :dunno:

Tags are gone. The guy who beat me to the license counter drew his 3rd multiseason tag in four years.  :yike:

I wasnt planning on trying for elk but the guy opened the door at 9.55 , logged in and hit refresh at 10.00 sharp and it never even showed up as available, pretty much bs. they should make you prepay like other states and it wouldnt be a SS. logged in at 10.10 and got the deer tag , i think i was one of three guys that didnt draw it the first gao around.
My wife told me that I hunt way more than I did when we first got married. I said yeah I know isn't it great !

I ended up getting one but the machine kicked us out every time she hit F5 just kept logging back in and finally seen it said I could purchase the tag so she clicked on it and it said "sorry maximum tags reached" or whatever so she hit checkout anyway and it said "transaction could not be completed" so I started folding up my stuff and thanked her for trying then the printer started up and ripped off a receipt for the merchant, then one for me then low and behold a MS Elk tag !!!  :IBCOOL:
I was *censored*ting bricks for a few, then very disappointed, then extatic !! Now I'm exhausted

I agree 100%  prepay for elk and deer should just go otc to the first 8,000 people that buy it.

New to this forum and can’t see how to initiate a post. Retired male living in Vancouver looking for elk hunting partner. Have not got my tag yet, so should be able to hunt anywhere in the state. Ken

I got my multi season deer tag but I was not there at 10. I think I would’ve felt bad pushing past the older folks in the mad dash to get in line at the sporting-goods counter. The guy where I went said he was actually able to process two elk before it kicked him out and said they were all sold.
