Some local Elk in the big ring....
« on: August 13, 2019, 12:36:57 PM »
Finally had the opportunity to put the cell phone to the Spotting Scope.... Probably had the device going on a couple years just never brought it to the woods, or camping for that matter.  I think I'll be doing more in the future.  The great part is on my phone I can zoom in after the pic and it is clear as heck, even down to the flies on the nose of a bull.  Unfortunately, after my time shooting and filming the local elk I took everything off the scope, five minutes later a massive Bald Eagle swooped down and landed in the river.  He may have been after a fish but he came up empty handed, and I didn't get an opportunity for the pic, it would have been a great one as he was right in the middle of the river, like he was a duck.  Then those massive wings came out and off he went.

Yes it was.  It is from S4 Gear that I bought almost two years ago, just never seemed to remember to take with me.  Remembered at the last minute for this camping trip.  Of course when I bought it I had a slightly smaller phone, now have the Samsung Note 9 and the device is maxed out to handle the phone, with the case off the phone.  Lined up pretty good and got lucky the herd was moving through that morning.  I shot some video, I may see if it is small enough to upload that also.
