National hunting and fishing day advertisement
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's (WDFW) National Hunting and Fishing Day celebration is a great, family-oriented way to introduce youth to target shooting, hunting and fishing. It's also an opportunity to recognize that hunters and anglers continue to be among the most active supporters of wildlife management and conservation.

This year's event will take place on Sept. 28, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tacoma Sportsmen's Club in Puyallup.

Youth 17 years and younger who attend the event with an accompanying adult can shoot WDFW firearms, archery equipment and air rifles for free. Agency staff and WDFW hunter education instructors will be on hand to teach shooting safety and provide instruction and guidance.

The event also features:

Conservation organization displays and info
Door prize drawings
Fun giveaways
Casting practice
Knot tying
Fish prints
Track plaster casting
Pre-register now for WDFW's National Hunting and Fishing Day celebration.

It turned out great.  I'm not sure just how many people but I bet 350-400 kids and I think they all stopped at out table.
Weather was okay, a little rain showers, over cast, windy, a mix bag of everything but the sun did come out and so did a lot of people.
If you missed this one, there is always next year.
I f you went I hope you stopped and talked with me and my wife.

Pics of some of the kids.  Red head is my grand daughter.  The target was from her shooting a .223 in one of the other setups they had there.  All hits on paper.

We had a pretty good spot.  We were at the front entrance/door going into the building.
Looking forward to next year.  This makes #3 for us.
I hope some of you stopped by.
