Lowrance Hook 7
« on: August 19, 2019, 07:14:57 PM »
Does anyone know how to reset the date in the Lowrance Hook 7?  I used to be able to get the current tides, take the cursor to Astoria, Longview, St. Helens, etc. & click on the small T.  Now when I do it, it says "no data" & I find that the date is set on something in the year 2050.  No wonder no data!!  I put the correct date in & I then get the correct tide info but it won't save the new date.

I go to settings-time but that resets time only, not date.  I go to settings-GPS & I can reset the date there but again it won't save it.

To further complicate matters the two dates, the one on the tides page 7the one on the GPS page are not the same.  The one on the tides page is something in year 2050 & the one on the GPS page is in year 2002??

I haven't tried resetting defaults because I don't know if that would correct it & I don't want to loose my GPS waypoints.

I accidentally reset to factory settings and didn't lose waypoints.  I don't know how to fix the date though.

I would think once the GPS picks up your location it would automatically update date and time.

Found out the problem, talked to Fisherman Marine Supply, where I had bought it.  The satellite that controlled that data had died.  They were able to reprogram it & I now get that info.  Good job Fisherman Marine!!
