X-Bolt Hell's Canyon Long Range .300 win question
« on: August 19, 2019, 08:20:08 PM »
Made the decision to buy this gun and top it with a Vortex Razor HD 5-20x50

How everyone likes the gun in this caliber?

Better question is what grain bullet is everyone using for best performance in groups, accuracy, and yardage?
Mine will be used for deer/elk.

Looking for recommendations for store bought as of now before I start to reload.

Can’t go wrong with Accubonds. My .300 loves em.

I use 180g nosler partitions and I’m good to 800 yds +
Hand loads, would have to dig out my notes for powder and load data
But I’m right in the middle of moving and all that stuff is packed up and buried.
One shot. One kill!

I’m shooting factory loaded 215 grain Berger hybrids. I shoot factory ammo and had a hard time finding one that my xbolt would shoot moa. The Berger 215’s are giving me consistent 1/2 moa groups.
