This is my wife's very 1st deer.
4 point muley.
It was her 2nd year hunting and this was on the 7th day of our 9 day stay.  I was just about over a ridge about 60 yds away when i heard the shot.  She had never shot at anything except targets before this.  No buck fever for her!  Perfect shot right behind the shoulder. 8)  Went about 40-50 yards downhill and wadded up in the brush.  I packed out 3/4 the meat and she took all of my gear and the head for the 2 mile hike.  Went back the next day and got the rest.

She used a Weatherby Camilla in 6.5 Creedmore with a 129gr bullet.  The bullet went in and took a left turn and ended up in the rear ham (not sure if it went through the guts as we did not gut it out.  Also when we were processing the meat we found what appeared to be a shotgun pellet in the front leg muscle...Weird!

 Proud husband for sure!
