Did his collapse push the arrow back out? I've seen a lung shot that only penetrate several inches take down a deer like that very quickly. Nice job

No. the head hit smack dab in the  middle of the spine and stopped under the hide on the off side. I did end up forcing it through to get it out, as it wouldn't pull out backwards. Too much broken bone in the way.
