Karl this is the internet.

Quit with that logic.

That is EXACTLY the thought that went through my mind when I read Karl's post!

The second thought that I had was, if a dude has the coin to buy this tag, he's probably not a moron. He's made a few good decisions in his life. He clearly hired the right guide...don't you think its's possible that he had it scored by someone competent before he piped off some outlandish number that is not even close to accurate?

Did this Bull have a radio collar on it?
Interesting first post.

Thanks.. Like to make a splash! Or possibly since I know someone with a tag in that area who has been watching a lot of the bulls, it looks like the one in that area that was collared, I was interested if that was the case.

His Instagram said 44” inside spread so that’s up to 394 without adding anything to point or mass measurements.
So I bet the guys with the actual rack know it’s 400.

People will always *censored* on these animals and hunters. Not sure why but it always happens. People toss out numbers but will almost never break down how they came up with it. "No way that's 400", but then you ask to clarify and you get silence.  So lets break it down and let's be CONSERVATIVE on the numbers and see what we get.

Mass: 29 a side for 58.

Mains: 55 for 110

Right side: g1-18, g2-18, g3-12, g4-20, g5-16, g6-6, for a total of 90

Left side: g1-18, g2-17, g3-12, g4-20, g5-17, g6-7, g7-1, for a total of 92.

110+58+92+90=350"

Now none of the pics show spread very well so let's just throw 38 at it and you get 388".

If I'm off 1 inch on each of the main tines that's 12". Probably has a better spread than 38, and wouldn't surprise me a bit if he had a bit more on the beams. So to say "no way that bull goes 400 is just a silly comment.

Now I could be an inch long on everything and he's 365 but I'm not gonna see "no way he goes this much or that much" :chuckle:

Congrats to the shooter and guide! Stud bull!

Isn't there another thread on here that mentions a collared bull in the general area being taken recently?

Why? A couple good bulls a year are killed with collars.

Based off his post I’d guess it’s the one they intended to hunt.

What a great bull worthy of the tag.  Reminds me of the beautiful 8x8 the lady got last year in the bumping.

Awesome trophy. The score of this particular bull doesn't matter to me but saying it's over 400" is an injustice to actual 400" bulls lol.

Here's another angle. Haven't seen this one on the internet yet and have no idea who the third dude is. It's a bada$$ bull.
