I want something that is cold and crispy, will wash the dust out of your throught. Keystone light or an ice works for me. Any thing heavier and my muscles will let me know it was a bad idea. A couple of shots of jack or a good rum works. Was told by a crackapractor that heavy beers contain a lot of histamines which effect muscles and slows rejuvenation, hence the soreness in the am after a hard day. I noticed that after a tough day when I got back to camp, had a hoppy or heavy beer, all I wanted to do was sit down. Don't have that problem with light beer.

I just stick to the old faithfull. I mean, it did win a blue ribbon. PBR

Good 'ol Pabst...

Found this in Lake Washington where the old ferry use to be at the end of Madison street.  It was buried about 3 feet down in the mud in about 10 feet of water.  Circa 1900 based on the bubbles in the glass, and blob top that was melted onto the bottle

Embossing says" Pabst's Milwaukee Beer CEOT Macginnis & Co

I was looking specifically for bottles.  had to dig down pretty deep to find this one!  It still had the cork pushed inside the bottle too.  I added a new cork and topped it off so it looks full.  it was empty when I found it,

I used to drink a lot of Hefes but for the most only enjoy true Bavarian Hefes now.
Good beers in a can Silver City Tropic Haze, Elysian Dayglow are a couple of my favorites.

Awesome. I used to dig bottles as a kid but its been a couple decades since I intentionally found one. I may have to do some research on spots around where I live now

Sorry for the bottle hunting thread hijack!  Saw Pabst and could not resist.

I found the research for bottle sites to be almost as fun as the hunting.  Lots of Washington State History.

I limited my hunting to places I could hunt via SCUBA.  It's nice bcs the bottom is always in motion due to water movement, starfish digging, ect.  For the pabst bottle I was in Lake Wa at the end of Madison st in 10 feet of water.  I found a dive scooter held backwards made for a great "blower" to remove sand and slit.  There was always a slight current there that would move the cloud of silt away.
