2019 San Carlos Bull
« Reply #30 on: September 16, 2019, 06:13:23 PM »
Some folks need to learn this isn’t Facebook. The smack talk is unwanted, unnecessary and if we want to get technical, against the rules. Some of you have been warned over and over again and ya still can’t knock it off. Until y’all start throwing huge money at elk conservation, you should learn to step away from the keyboard once in a while.

great bull, prob not a great story. Not jealous, just not impressed.  I’m glad his money’s help with conservation!  But all our hard earned money helps, if we could give more, we would. Congrats to the shooter!

Deleted most of what I wanted to say, great bull, prob not a great story. Not jealous, just not impressed.  I’m glad his money’s help with conservation!  But all our hard earned money helps, if we could give more, we would. Congrats to the shooter!

You’d give more, but you would you take an elk tag in exchange for your donation?

If I could, I’d give without expecting an elk tag. But I don’t make that kind of money so what do I know?

You may not be jealous........   but your negativity sure comes across that way.

You have no idea if it was the most epic hunt of a lifetime, but your "not Jealous" comments are obviously meant to discount this man's hunt.

You should resist diminishing another hunter's accomplishment.

I remember the same hunter flying in the day before one of his dozen guides found his bull in the blues, shot the 400” plus bull and then flew out.  Great story. Id rather hear a story of some guy who worked his butt off killing a 280” bull, but that’s just me.  Sure, prob a bit jealous, but not of the hunt.

My only point in bickering is that this guy has done more for wildlife conservation in his life than possibly the rest of us combined.  To bad mouth him or put down his elk harvests because they were accomplished by the same money that he gives back to that wildlife and hunting and conservation seems kinda like nonsense to me. Where would the rest of us hunters be without that money going to our herds?

So should I try to join the Wild Sheep Foundation? Or is that a waste of money?

And your point is spot on! We hunters are way to quick to eat each other alive. We are way small in numbers and need to stand together.
