OnX Maps in GMU 142 and 139
« on: October 14, 2019, 08:59:59 AM »
I was hunting this weekend in a place I have been granted permission to hunt with another individual. He has hunted this land for 20+ years and I have tagged along for 6 years or so. We were approached by an individual claiming we were trespassing, we chatted back and forth regarding why our permission and why he thought we were trespassing.  We eventually left and talked to the gentleman who gave us permission and he said we were OK in the location we were at. It appears it is awfully muddy on who really owns what and where the boundary lines are. I open my Onx map app and for some reason the property lines and owners don't appear in these GMUs however they appear in all of the neighboring GMUs. Anyone have any ideas/reason why? It easily could have solved a lot of drama real quickly.

I understand there is going to be people with advice on how to handle the situation, however I am tagging along and I am not in the drivers seat on making decisions.

i have been told by OnX a few years ago its because those counties do NOT have their GIS digitized so ONX doesn't have anything to import into thier software.
