Is this a cry for help or well earned gloating? I was out last year near the end of November and they got pretty large. Do you expect them to swell even more by December?

Perhaps more a call for help. There are actually several flocks  near this size (in the one pic there are nearly as many as you can see that hadn't crossed the road in front of me)I'm no expert but I can't think that so many large flocks in a small area can be a healthy thing. They've been like this most of the summer so it isn't just a winter flocking thing. I'm afraid a hard winter could be really devestating. Several big Tom's mixed in these groups which is somewhat unusual this time of year, usually the Tom's are off on their own.

Fruitland to Cedonia. Landowners not happy with them, haven't asked any but suspect permission might not be hard to get especially for youth hunters and after the late deer hunt.

Where are all the central Wa folks who need some turkey shot? I don't think I can squeak out another trip to the NE. I'm sure someone on here will be able to sling some lead at them.

I should throw a box of turkey shells in the truck, I might be able to swing through there for a day, I'll let you know next week.

Tons up north in the Roosevelt area also.
Had to stop the truck 3 times in one day so as to not run over 50 of them.
They would not get out of the way!
Honking and easing forward just made them move further  down the road.
If we had tags, we would have been done for the season by 8 am.
One shot. One kill!

I'll be headed that way in a few days, with a tag.

I will also be headed over this Friday for three or four days. I still have two turkey tags and  have two deer tags also since I have a second deer tag for the Mount Spokane unit. Let me know if anyone needs a hand thinning some critters off their property.

Good luck to everyone headed out this month. If anyone in the central Washington area needs a hunting buddy or some turkey removed I've got two tags I can still buy. PM me, I provide premium root beer and jerky ;)

I still have one tag left.  Maybe if I skunk on ducks on Saturday I’ll switch it up and look for a gobbler on Sunday.

I've got enough tags to help put a dent in things if anyone is still in need. I'm happy to make the trip out there and have room for one other if anyone needs a ride.

I have a spot on private land in Colville, but it’s archery only due to the proximity of livestock. The owner there has given me carte Blanche to set up anywhere I want. I have been there 3 weekends in a row and have the birds daily patterns pretty well figured out. I can only take one person with me each time, and there are some decent Airbnb’s there for cheap for hunters if you don’t have a camper. I normally camp in a tent but lately it’s too cold at night to do that anymore. PM me if interested in going. I have 1 tag left for myself. So I’ll likely be going back out before too long.

Me, my daughter and her husband are heading to Kettle Falls area this weekend for the Late Whitetail hunt, My daughter has hunted one year and hasn't taken any animals yet. If anyone wants to get rid of a couple Turkeys send me an IM, I'm sure she would love to take a bird or two.

Headed to Fruitland area this weekend, to see if the wife can get her deer. I would love to whack a few Turkeys while there, so if any land owner needs some removed, give me a shout!

My wife works on South Hill and they are out and about this morning. She said the big guy in the pic started attacking the city bus lol. Just bop him on the head and toss him in the back of the truck. All done!

I'll be between Hunter and Springdale this weekend.  If any land owners need help with that problem, I'm happy to be there as well!  :chuckle:

I love turkey meat.  We get 4 meals plus 2 batches of stock per bird.  My kids love the feathers which also a big bonus.  I think I've got my cleaning time down to like 10 minutes per bird now - Awesome stuff.
