We sold our 2003 Honda Pilot and bought a 2019. Honda’s are pretty tough to beat for longevity and we find them to be very comfortable and utilitarian. The CRV won all kinds of awards recently I’d give them a serious look

CRV is a good car, just noisy. And many safety items are add-in with an added price.

Thank you all for the info.
We talked over all the comments and looked at all the cars except the Lexus. Couldn’t find one in our area.

She chose a 2018 Nissan Rouge, dealer rental with under 5k in miles.

Little bit of technology shock going on in the drive way right now as she is jumping from a 2009 Freestar to the 2018 Nissan.

The free star is going to our daughter in law and the car she has a Corsica is going to a friend in need. Lots of smiles tonight.

Thanks all.

I doubt there is much real difference. Go drive them and let her have which ever she likes!! You will gain major points!!    LOL

No points for me. This is one part of our 33 year marriage where she excels. She can match any salesman on a car lot toe to toe. I know she has drove a couple to drink over the years. Couple sales managers too.

I have never bought a truck since we have been married. Last time I picked out three trucks I liked and turned her loose. Than I just wonder around show rooms and leatherwork them over.
My last two trucks she did all the negotiations. If ya got a ace, play it.

LOL I do the same thing.  I almost felt bad for the salesman after she got done negotiating for my last truck, I thought the poor guy was going to cry.

She's not mean not at all, everyone actually thinks the world of her, she just gets her way.

Sometimes that works in my favor and sometimes, not so much.   :hello:

I am a huge Subaru Outback fan.  My experience has been good gas mileage, minor maintenance costs and extremely safe.

My wife got in an accident in her Outback.  The entire front engine compartment was smashed up, but not one piece of broken glass, no rippled doors, no damage from the fire wall back.

My teenage daughter drives our old 2006 Honda Pilot that we bought with about 20K miles on it...great vehicle in every type of weather and safe. Wife just bought a 2017 Durango R/T...thing straight out hauls butt and amazing to ride in. I drive it every chance I get  :chuckle:
Good luck

Toyota, among those options. Friend has recent Rav4, and she likes it.  We went with Highlander for more kid space and love it.

yeah I saw her work a young salesman about 15 years ago. She reached across the table and took his hand. And than said " now Bob goes up in some rough roads, are your sure this is a safe truck for him. " The kid had no experience with anything like her.
Now I just walk away, cant bare to watch her work the young ones.

When we left last night she knew everything there was to know about this 30ish salesman except his blood type. She had him on edge till she drove off the lot. I watched him after she left from my truck , he took a big Sie.

We had a Mazda CX-5 for a few years and it was a great car we really wanted to keep it, but we needed to upgrade to 3rd row.  The car got 28mpg all the time city and highway and was AWD.

Bought my daughter a 17 Lincoln MKC AWD about a year ago and it seems to be a great little crossover vehicle.  It has the smaller 2.0 Ecoboost but seems to have great power and still gets really good gas mileage.  They're essentially a fancier version of the Ford Escape.
