Looks like now. That yote has a nice pelt. Dang porch dogs.  :chuckle: we have one of them around.
Maturity is when you have the power to destroy someone who did you wrong but instead you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.

Mid October- Valentine’s Day!
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short.

Amen

They have taken to live chicken. We were down to a single hen that had turned into the family pet. All I found was feathers.

Dang, that's a dark doggie. almost looks like it's smiling.

How far away was it? Did it seem like it was threating anyone? How did your rifle preform? Did you feel safe doing this?

Maybe 15 yards max. I discovered that #4 turkey shot from a 20g can work just fine; especially with a turkey choke. Meant to grab the #4 buck but oh well. Thanks to Jake who did a skinning demo for me!

Now, just to get the "big" one slinking around.  :chuckle:

Do you think that you can get your screen name changed to the "Varmint Czar" ?. :chuckle:

No Czar here. When I hear "czar" I recall a former president that had a czar for everything.

You're right. Sometimes they trot off. But sometimes they don't. :chuckle:  It gets to be a challenge sitting in the blind in the dark and trying to stay awake without making any noise. Wool helps. If you are near someplace warm you can get a cheapo wireless driveway alarm off amazon for something like $15. Before long you will figure out about the time that they tend to show up for supper. Once you got that then you just need to go out to the blind about an hour before and try to stack the odds in your favor. If you're in trouble with the Mrs. then you can go out to the blind earlier :chuckle:. Night is fun to see stuff. A week ago I saw something swoop down at me and then hit the blind about a foot away from where I was sitting. Screaming noises just on the other side of some fabric.  Took me a second to calm down and figure out an owl had just taken out a rat.
