For Sale- 2014 Hoyt Carbon Spyder Turbo...Feeler
« on: November 14, 2019, 10:31:49 AM »
Edit: I'd be looking to get $800 for complete bow.

Checking to see if thereíd be any interest in my bow. Bought it new in 2014. Only reason Iíd want to get rid of it is I recently found out Iím left eye dominant. I plan to head to a shop and try out a left handed bow for a few hours to see how it feels. If it seems like the right Move for me to switch to a lefty Iíll do it and my bow will be for sale.

Hereís the specs:

2014 Hoyt Carbon Spyder Turbo
80lb limbs
Tight Spot Quiver
Hamskea Trinity Hunter Pro rest
Bee Stinger 10Ē stabilizer
Black Gold Ascent 3 pin slider sight. Itís custom with micro adjust .010Ē pins.
Sidehill Bowstrings string set

Currently I shoot it at 28.5Ē draw. At 81lbs of draw weight we recently shot it through a chronograph with a 496 grain arrow and hit 280fps. If speed is your thing I had it cranked to 84lbs for a bit and shot a 475 grain arrow at 302fps.

Let me know if thereís any interest. Thanks for looking.

FWIW, I'm right handed and extremely left eye dominant.  I shoot a bow lefty and it only took a summer to pick it up.  It made a huge difference and I'm glad I went through the conversion.

Good luck.

Nice! Iíve got a thread going in the bow hunting forum on this very subject. Seems to be the general consensus that switching to the dominant eye side is best but some have trained the other eye to be dominant.

Iíll have to check the used market and put some thought into a fair price. Iím into the bow over $2k. Iím not going to ask for anything near that if I sell. I just need to do some looking to see whatís fair.

Selling older bows can be tough. Just sold my 2017 carbon defiant fully outfitted for $800 and that was tough to get. Definitely have to price to sell. GLWYS

Great bow. A bit more than I want to pull back these days.
Cut em!

I love Carbon bows cause theyíre just dead in the hand when the shot breaks. These bows just plain shoot real nice. To me a carbon bow over aluminum isnít about saving a few ounces. Itís about that dead in the hand feel and the fact they donít get super cold during late season is a nice perk as well.

@steeliedrew you are going to need to put a price to this if you want it in the classifieds. Thatís the rules.

Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Whoops. My mistake.

If I sell it Iíd like to see $800 for the complete bow. The bow by itself was around $1,500 new and Iíve got around $650 into accessories on it, Iím into it a touch over $2k.
