Not the perfect photo by any means, but most certainly the perfect whitetail.

It has to be hard to actually get photos of enough true mature, interesting looking whitetail bucks when we arent exactly dead center of the best whitetail country around......  Most wt calendars Ive seen usually have a few so-so bucks in them no matter where theyre from.  BUT !!  yes.....you do get some of the best photos I see and I do enjoy seeing the bucks you see.  Thanks

I think we are actually in fantastic whitetail country.  Its the way our wildlife is mismanaged that prevents us from having world class whitetail hunting.  The habitat is there.  The genetics are there.  The public land is there.  Big woods and mountains that make excellent sanctuaries where bucks could grow to their full potential.  Its our predator problems and our hunting regulations that are holding us back.

I've seen some enormous whitetails in this state, including one I figured could have eclipsed the world record (hanson).   Getting them on film is a different story.
