Had a 28” HCA on it so be a good test.  I know what it should do.   Be unscrewing it and send back if it won’t shoot.    Should know in a couple weeks.  HCA didn’t have a 30”.
I think he can now get them? I pretty positive JonathanS is doing a 30" .338 terminator LRKM with one of his barrels?

Correct. 30"

Hey but back on track, how about that 26 Nosler! I'm personally a fan and I'm glad to see bullet manufactures starting to make some 6.5 pills worthy of the gas tank that the 26 has.

I was planning on the Barnes lrx, but that heavy Berger has my attention.

Between the 140, 144, 153.5, and 156, Berger has got you covered for faster twist rates!

There is no question the bigger 6.5s want the 156

I've been playing with the 156's in a cheap ruger american and I've been really pleased with them. I'm picking up one of my rifles that I rebarreled this weekend and will be running them this season on a hunt or two. The 140 vld is one of my favorite bullets of all time but I wouldnt try pushing them as hard as that Nosler will.

My only concern would be how good would they hold up at under 100 yards at nosler speeds

Apologies to Muley87. I got your thread mixed up with Jolten's. Had to go back and look. I wanted to hate the prc because it's the new creedmoor but it's a slick round and I'm excited to get my hands on one myself.

I’ve thought about doing a 6.5 prc in my vanguard la.

No problem Karl. I agree with wanting to hate the new kids on the block. Never. Ought into the CM fan fair, I’ve always been a .300wm/ultra fan. Then i was looking for a lighter round for deer and my buddy told me about the PRC. Looking at the external ballistics it looks wonderful. Should be a excellent antelope gun this year.

I finally received my Proof barrel after 4 1/2 months of waiting. I now have all needed parts for my 6.5 prc build. I’m taking everything to my smith on Friday. This has been a long time coming. 7mo so far.

Looks great now the wait begins!

Fyi these proof barrels are same day shipping from a number of vendors.   Don’t order directly  from Proof - costs more and takes months.

Ya, I get a certain deal and this is what happens🤷🏻‍♂️  Agree, the wait begins. I know this is gonna be an epic rifle, so I guess the wait is worth it.
