For spring bear I was thinking of getting something like this
Any input or experience with anything like this?

Been running Kuiu for years and just got the new model which is larger and fits better.  But is a slight hassle when taking off layers having to remove pack then bino harness - maybe I  should attach to pack as shown.  But if I want to drop pack and glass that would be a hassle.  Hmmmm ? ???   Not sure which stule would be best.

I would not want a big bulky harness like the one above under my pack though.  Here’s kuiu for comparison.

Only thing I didnt like with my Kuiu is the back is open and fills up with crap wether you're careful or not
I did like how compact it was tho

Been running original Kuiu since they came out. Really like how compact and lightweight it is however my 10x42's don't go in and out as easy as I would like and makes the side pockets too tight to be useful for a smoke bottle. Went to the Adak harness from Black Ovis this year and really like it. Little better protection from the back, slightly larger than Kuiu but not much. Bins go in and out nicer for me and since I like to glass off a tripod, being able to disconnect the bins from the harness and not "lose" the harness is big for me. Rangefinder pocket is removeable. Watch Camofire they come up frequently for $99.

I am in the market as well. Been watching some reviews, seems like Kuiu addressed the concerns of the last few posters in the new pro model. I am leaning that way unless some thing better shows up in the next month or so.

Yea got the new Kuiu Pro and it is about 1/2” bigger in all directions.  Lotsa room for swaro 10x42 now.

I have used multiple models over the years. Alaska guide creation is hands down my favorite. I can carry everything essential I need when I drop my pack which is real,g nice.

Well crap, super similar design as the Adak except a waterproof fabric and some extra options. Any confirmation on how waterproof it is? The Adak is a DWR softshell but I soaked it through. May have some harnesses coming up for sale?

Personally, this is an important feature for me. However, bino harnesses are like packs and come down to personal preference. Alaska Guide products seem to be bulletproof and have tons of great reviews and followers. I have a pack on my back but don't want one on my chest, therefore I shy away from Alaska Guide and similar designs. Again, it's what works for you.

I went with AGC this year and am really happy with it.

Havent got the new pro wet yet but the prior model was water resistant and the body is rigid like waterproof    Solid Liner (plastic?) not a canvas only type.

I keep thinking about muzzleloader season and how it would be nice to drop pack and still have all the speadloaders and caps and rangefinder and all still with me. So the Alaskan one seems bigger then what I may need for a spring hunt, but great for my deer season.

Guess I need a couple different ones lol

I use mine for all seasons. Keep my rangefinder, calls, license, wind checker etc in there. Drop the pack and off you go
