Henry: It lives with 240 grain thumpers in its fuel tank.  Love the softball trajectory and the “thwack”.  Seeing People hunting with lever guns restores my faith in humanity.

Savage made the best back then. 250-3000 that I restored from my girlfriends family on the Rez. Completely restored every piece and did some fancying up. Last part is finding someone that’d color case that lever. My 336 is on my bench being brought back after my brother sold it off like 10+ years ago and it found its way home.

Awesome!

Love my old .250-3000!! Killed my last 2 bucks and at least 100 coyotes with it. For some reason I can’t get pics to work on here.

Great stuff guys. Keep it coming. Love those savages and seeing people bring new life into the old warriors.  There’s just something about how a good lever gun feels in the hands. Quick to shoulder and on target. And an unmistakable sound of that lever driving the action. Nothing will send a bad guy running for cover like the sound of a pump shotgun or a lever action.

I love my ARs and precision bolt guns but the lever guns have my soul.

I love shooting my .32.  Dad and I will usually pick one day of the season to go “old school”.   He carries his 30-30 and I carry my .32.

Wow that’s incredible. I’d have that picture blown up, framed and hanging over the hearth. If I ever stumble into a huckleberry moose tag I’ll be pressing the 45-70 into service.

Been carrying a lever action since I was a kid in the 70s and 80s.   Don't have a photo of my latest lever gun, but nothing fancy.  Just a Marlin 336, and I had it rebored to a 356W.  I like to carry the lever gun while on scouting trips, and I use it a lot when I go out for bear hunts on the west side.  I also hunt certain thicker areas with it for deer and elk.

Would love to get one of those old Savages some day.

I've always liked the Winny 94's, particularly the short Trapper models.  I have a Win 94 Trapper in 44mag and 357 but unfortunately mine are the newer models with the crossbolt safety.  Also have a Win 9422 High Grade.  I've had a few different Win 9422's over the years that I've put thousands of rounds through shooting sage rats.

I know some will think this is an awful idea but I really want to get a Marlin 336 and put a Midwest M-lok rail on it. Kind of an old meets new blend.

Probably made it a lot lighter.👍

Henry .30-30 all weather I got last year after fishing in AK. Of course they came out with the side gate model right after I bought this. That’s ok cause I’m waiting for the case hardened side load .45-70. Love the leather accessories as well!!! Gunna have to look into that!
