McGowen could set you up with stainless Remage w/ nut for less than $600 and then you could change it yourself next time.  I'd do that  :twocents:

If you're not attached to it you may get it threaded then sell it.  Someone with a suppressor should not be turned off by the 16.5 barrel.  Assume you get about about $500 for it which gets you within a couple hundred of a stainless 35 Whelen.

That Remage is interesting but .35 is not listed.
I'm afraid by the time I supply a blank to them to have modified and a chamber reamer the cost goes up.
Right back where I started.
Looks like I can hope for somebodys take-off barrel.

Well I thought about and researched doing the same thing...….ended up buying a NIB 35 Whelen CDL SF off of GunBroker!
