Most timber company land in the area will have a high percentage chance to close to fire danger during archery season.

There are plenty of gated roads to explore.
Elk are scattered throughout.
Although archery season has turned in to a great chance to meet lots of other hunters.

Iíve hunted there a few years. Yes, there is elk, but damn there are a crap ton of people out there now. Iíve given up on that unit. Between fire closures and anywhere from 3-10 rigs parked at gates that you can hunt....no thanks. Itís just not fun anymore. Every little place that you think ďoh this is a great little secret spotĒ, NOPE! There will be people walking/calling right through there! Even after they see you and you give them the ďIím already here hunting waveĒ they just keep on coming and going..Last time I was out there walking in, in the dark Iíd be passed by dudes on bikes and they wouldnít even stop to ask which way or which area I was planning to hunt. Iím tellin ya, thereís more archery guys than rifle guys out there! Itís a hot mess if you ask me.  if you end up out there good luck! 🍀
