Base for H&R FN Mauser Action?
« on: February 25, 2020, 08:32:06 PM »
My brother inherited a .300 Win Mag. Stamped Ultra Bolt Action and ULTRARIFLE. I don’t know anything about these actions or rifles. I do know that it’s in desperate need of a scope upgrade. As a birthday gift, I plan on throwing some new glass on it, and thought I’d upgrade the rings and base while at it. I’m struggling a little to find info on this. More than likely it’s just a me problem, but with my lack of familiarity with this action I was hoping to find some help.

It currently has a traditional one piece, which I’ve never messed with. Do I/should I stick with a one piece? All of my other rifles are 2 piece or picattiny. What’s my best route here?

I'm no expert, but I like 1-piece.   Seems more sturdy.   If it was me, I'd try to retain that.

But really I'm just replying so that maybe someone who actually knows will respond.
