I wonder which state will initiate a bail-out clause that will allow for refunds or point reinstatement.  I bet there are more than one state wondering what to do right about now.

Worst case, the NR applications tank and the department is in financial trouble.  Most, if not all game agencies should be planning for a big reduction in general fund money this year if they are smart.  Every state is in financial trouble, WA will be at the top of the list due to our tax structure.

I had plans to take it easy on the out of state hunting this year with a new family member that was born February 25th. The plan was Colorado and Montana mule deer, but with all this going on and recently losing my job. It looks like I'll be in Montana since I already applied and points only for Colorado and Nevada. Unless this things blows away sooner than later I might try to get a Colorado tag in the secondary draw....

the nice thing about Youth in MT is you don't have to put them in for the draw with you. You can buy their deer tag any old time before you go. It requires a licensed "sponsor" though so you would still need a tag.

Thinking about pulling my elk and moose applications to Wyoming.  I have until May  to pull them.  Getting a little nervous that the restrictions may come back this fall.

I am starting to think this virus could wreak havoc with fall hunting seasons across the west.  Exponentially more hunters coming from all corners of the US in the fall when virus makes a second wave...bet several states are thinking about this right now.

I decided not to apply for mt this yr. Lost hrs at work and the uncertainty of this virus made me put family first.

Hunting Idaho for sure here starting in a few weeks for bears and in the fall, hopefully Oregon, and crossing my fingers I draw an antelope tag in NV.

It feels good to have a stable permanent job with the feds. Planting season is coming up for my side job so this Corona scare will not stop me from working
