Buying guns during “shelter in place”
« on: March 24, 2020, 06:30:14 PM »
Question for you guys (particularly interested in hearing from ffl folks)...

Is there any way to buy firearms when everything’s shut down, other than ordering an 80% kit?

I was in the market for a couple of things before this all went down, and now I’m not sure if I should just hold-off until god knows when, or if I can get creative...

From the sound of it, about 98% of businesses are essential.

Anybody that sells food stays open. Bimart indeed. Surprised the gun stores don’t set up a vending machine or sell some jerky. Even cabelas sells “food”.

I talked to a local shop today and she said they plan on staying open until somebody comes and tells them to shut the doors. Her perspective is that self defense is an "essential service".

It’s a lot more than just food to be considered essential. I agree with what was said above. Like 90% of stores get to stay open during this.

Hopefully you find something at a “no shelter in place” price

Should have had it already. Lesson learned.

I just checked Cabelas webpage and it looks like they are open.  I wouldn't exactly suggest going there, but if they are open than other places are as well.  If it were me, I would find as small a shop as I could for many reasons.  If Cabelas is open, there will be plenty of friends in close proximity waiting hours for their number to be pulled.

Skagit arms closed down today to deep clean and restock, and plan to reopen tomorrow unless something has changed today.

I looked at the tulalip website today out of curiosity and it showed it was closed.
