Given the current state of affairs, I think it’s wishful thinking that we see them in time to put in for permits. :bash: :sry:

Should be middle of April. I doubt it'll be late, they count on the revenue from special permit applications.

Yeah, they don't have to make any hard choices on big game now as far as I can remember. Put out the regs, sell the permits and applications and deal with whatever happens later.

My fear is it will be a regurgitation of last years permit numbers instead of seeing increased elk permits in the region 3 units (which there should be)  :twocents:

Wait..what. I thought all the elk in 3 where dead...

As for the regs. They will be out as usual, does anyone think there will be a decrease in applications with all this uncertainty.?

the greedy tag hoarder that I am I kind of wish for a decrease but the American in me Hope's that everyone still has the money and the confidence to apply, win tags, and go on hunts.

We already saw the projected regulations, in the past they haven’t changed the proposals or permit numbers.  Can’t find the link

Aren't they waiting on final counts for the 300 GMU's and the blues before establishing quota's for cows?  I seem to remember there were three possibilities.
1. if the numbers come in as projected no change from last year.
2. If cow/calf is lower than expected they are going to eliminate OTC archery cow hunts.
3. If cow/calf is really low they would also cut/eliminate muzzie and rifle cow tags.
