Cougar tag reporting
« on: April 03, 2020, 12:50:21 AM »
I tried to report my 2019 tag today to close it out but it says that function is unavailable. Anyone else having that problem?

I think I figured it out. I was not able to download the refs last night. I think they changed it up. You used to be required to have a 2020 Cougar tag to hunt in April or at least I thought you did. Just got it to downloaded. Looks like you are still required to have your 2019 tag. It’s in blue. Never hunted cats in April and have never had an issue reporting it before April until now.

That was a misprint on wdfws part.  April requires a 2020 tag.  They even corrected it in the downloaded regs correction section.

The license year is april 1st through march 31st for all hunting, cougar is not an exception.

Leave it to the "Cougar Whisperer" to know the current regs.

Havent been able to whisper up a damn thing the last couple days but sore legs and feet and a couple deer sheds.  Staying home playing with guns today, going to go try hunting another spot tomorrow.  In the mean time, cougar is closed in my home unit and i got one with a dead goat cached right on my property  :bash:

I had zero luck also. Was a ghost town up there. Few humans and 1 goose.

I'm with you on that but the lower elevation land is mostly WDF&W and closed. Looking for some BLM land to hunt.
