I think my first, was my easiest and I would argue that sow I shot a few years back was easier than this one.

Maturity is when you have the power to destroy someone who did you wrong but instead you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.

Roughly measured my skull after trimming off as much meat as I could. I came up with 20 1/2.

Easiest bear and only bear I shot was while I and my friend stopped to take a whiz and he says there's a bear up the road. I say no way but stopped at this little brush pocket just up from where we'd went. Sure enough, a bear was treed right there. waited until it was daylight enough and shot it.
I almost passed it up for we had our backpacks and I wanted to go deep into the woods but I figured if we passed this guy up we'd not see another one so I took it.
Was down low in farmland and when I skinned it and defatted it some to get as much grease off of him before processing I found a .22 shell lodged in it so he must have been pushed out of his area and was harassing the farmers around. Turned out to be 9n years old. Gl all and grats to all the lucky ones so far.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

Day 3 of my fall season.  Decided to change up my normal routine and pulled out a brand new rabbit distress call made from springbok horn that came in the mail last night.  Called in a big timber cedary creek bottom, not my usual type of location.  Took probably 5 minutes, maybe a little longer, before this young boar showed up.  He came straight on and lifted his head to try to wind me and i put one where his neck meets his chest with the .444 marlin.  Dropped like he was struck by lightning.  First time ever blowing on that call.  Paced it off at 37 steps.  Last pic is just a view of what i was looking at from my calling spot.
