Yup, made it out yesterday, I saw roughly 40 other fishing boats. Fished from sun up to around 2. It was very slow for us, and didn’t mark many fish, didn’t see many others having much success either. We did released a nice blackmouth around 9:30 and that was it until we called it around 2. I might give it a week or so and try it again.
If you want to make it,
you can't fake it,
you gotta live it.

No problem, we tried basically every water column and threw the tackle box at them, I’ve had success before with white ace fly high’s & full White and full silver coho killers behind a purple haze. The black mouth bit on a cop car flasher and a cop car spoon, wish I could’ve kept it, beautiful fish!

Good luck!

Wow, I just looked at the tides for Friday through the weekend.  Anyone wanting some free entertainment just show up at the Everett launch about 10 am on Friday.

I'm thinking about launching in the dark and back on the trailer no later than 9 am.

Not a bad idea. Fortunately we're moored at the docks so I think we're gonna fish the tide change at noon.

I found one coho that wanted to play. I had to weed thru 6 chinook to get it though. A couple of them were nice too.

In 3 hours of trolling I got one hit, pretty sure it wasn’t a Coho.  :yike: I got a reminder not to use Kokanee gear even though the Coho are small.

The slow start doesn’t bode well for a decent season.

Thanks for the update. Why can’t you use Kokanee gear?

Not much of a story.  Wimpy yellow koke rod pops up, then buries the tip deep in the water, drag screams for a couple of seconds, then the line goes slack.  Leader broke, brand new Coho Killer gone.  I did get the flasher back.

Ok, good, I thought you might of known of a rule I didn’t. I used my Jared Johnson Lamiglas Koke rod with my cold water w/ SS gears running 12lb test to the flasher, 20lb test leader to the lure. This set up caught the blackmouth off the downrigger.
