Best youth Compound bow
« on: June 04, 2020, 02:12:17 PM »
Hey guys,
So my 11yr old daughter passed hunters ed and I couldn't be more proud and excited to get her out in the field with her mother and I. Though she won't be archery hunting right out the gate I would love to get her going with a compound bow set up. She has already spent quite a bit of time on a long bow learning the traditional fundamentals, and she loooooves shooting archery . If you guys have any experiences or advice with the youth compound bows out there it would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on her stature and strength I would likely give the nod to the Infinite edge pro as well. As far as youth bows diamond has impressed me. The Razor edge, and big brother Infinite edge pro are perfect for kids of all ages. I have had better luck "tuning" them, they are easily adjustable and they seem to fit smaller persons better than their competitors bows of the same class. My only knock is the placement of the draw adjustment screws.

The PSE Mini burner is another bow that seems to fit that age bracket well. Although it doesn't grow as long.  Its a good option if considering upgrading before/when she actually starts bowhunting.

Klash is all right.  If she's going to be serious about it the pre centric is a sweet bow.  My daughter shoots it pretty good.

Another vote for the Diamond Infinite edge pro. My Girl and Son shoot one and do well and there nice and light at 3.2 pounds.
I know a few people who have taken elk with them, very capable bow.

When my oldest son turned 10, we bought him the Mission Hammr by Mathews. 16-70 pound draw weight and 17-29” draw. Super happy with the purchase so far!!

My 13 yr old boy wants a bow for his birthday. Any recommendations on where to go to get him fitted in Spokane?

my daughter shoots a bear cruzer lite. 2.2 pound mass weight. lots of adjustment. Killed her first deer with it two years ago and had many chances last year that didn't pan out, but not because of the bow.

R2R, If it were me, I'd hit Lady Red at Camo'd Arrow in Chewelah first. She's wonderful. Black Sheep in CdA has nice stuff. SVA has a good following.
