Oregon Draw

Anybody in for Oregon? My old man and I are in for archery elk. It looks like they plan to have results out end of next week.

I live here, Oregon has some great units that are OTC.  I moved here 7 years ago and Never put in for the draw.  Good luck!

Hunting season is a month for archery any bull, any buck.  Its awesome!
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

For sure. We have fall back OTC spots so should be hunting archery elk regardless. The unit we apply for we have each drawn once and usually takes 3-4 years to draw

Just points for me this year.  Possibly OTC archery elk.  I choose Oregon over Idaho for one reason, Oregon gives Active Duty military their resident prices!  Once I retire, I suspect I'll move over to Idaho for the vet prices

They also give free hunting, fishing licenses to disabled vets.  If you have over 30%.  My elk tag cost 14 bucks!!!  Its a great hunting place.

I did things a little different this yr for OR. I am applying for a landowner elk tag which should be 100% draw but will be restricted to hunt 14K acres of private. I also applied for Antelope with my 20 pts but unlikely I'll draw that tag. Good luck!

I'm a 30% disabled veteran but I'm not a resident of Oregon. Dose the free hunting and fishing license apply to non residents?

Not real sure, I think only residents.  I hunt washington at resident cost, being a disabled vet non-resident.  Only thing that sucks is permit apps, those are not at resident prices

Yep, I'm in for Oregon draws as always.   Based on the seed numbers compared to my app numbers I have zero chance of drawing anything this year.  Which is fine, I have my usual OTC archery elk spot.  I bought my WA multi-season deer tag and drew a muzzy anterless deer tag in WA, so no Oregon OTC deer for me this year as I'll spend most the free time trying to fill a deer tag, when I'm not elk hunting both states.    Attached seed numbers for Oregon, should anybody be interested in checking against your app number.  Draw starts at the seed number and goes up from there.  Same seed number is used in both the 75% preference points and 25% random draws.

Any thoughts on when results will be out? If memory serves, they have usually been a few days after WA in the past

If I recall correctly, Oregon has decided to always release on June 20th from now on.  But since the 20th is a Saturday, I'm assuming it will be Friday the 19th.
