Tragedy Averted (everyone please read)
rasbo:
thank God nothing happened.sounds to me like the 2nd buyer was very concerned about the problem and went out of the way to remedy the situation. The 1st seller should have cleaned the gun before and checked it out.It goes to show we cant ever assume anything when it comes to weapons.I hope it turns out to be a good buy and your daughter has many good memories made with it.

I've never run into this before...WOW!!!! I always check the barrel ends when out and about if I'm bushwhacking etc. for an errant obstruction. Glad everyone is OK.

This is something I do even to my personal guns that have been sitting in the safe for a spell before shooting them. I don't even know why I do but I do.
Thanks for the great article Rob.

Actually he should get a 10+, even though legally he is responsible it wasnt his fault at all. He owned up to it and vowed to take care of the problem regardless of the financial cost to him even though he wasnt the one that caused it, major Karma to him  :brew:

It's nice to see that your seller was an outstanding person leaving some faith that you can trust a few folks out there. Now for the other person... >:(
Glad it all worked out,
