Yes, we had a 4pt minimum in units 121 and 117 from 2011-2014, then they took it away.  Everybody who lives here that i know wants it back.  The improvement to the herd was very noticable after just 4 years, and even people here who were against it at first came around after seeing how much it improved things, but it went right back to *censored* after the apr was taken away.  People want it back.  I took the survey in favor of a 4pt apr in all ne units, 101-121.

I remember it but don't remember the parameters. Was it an APR across the board or were there youth seasons, disabled or over 65?

It was across the board.  And honestly, after a few years of the apr, youd have a harder time finding a spike or fork horn than a 4x.  And the better age class of bucks caused more daylight rut activity, more scrapes and rubs etc.  It was an overall better hunting experience.  Even if it is put in across the board again, a kid will have a better chance of getting a buck with an apr than he had with no apr in place.  That being said, id be okay with youth only being able to take any buck.  Id prefer if that was only during the october season, but the survey didnt allow me to specify that.

I couldn't remember and since I don't have kids, I didn't really pay attention. I would also be fine with and actually prefer if youth was allowed any buck during general but not late. I think that is a good middle ground

Yup.  Let a kid take any buck during october season, if that doesnt happen and he hunts november, sorry charlie, 4pt min.

I would go even further and say just give them a Friday-Monday during the early season to harvest any buck. If they can’t get it done, then they face the same APR as everyone else!

I spend almost 100% of my hunting time in unit 121 and I would echo the sentiments of Bango. I started noticing a HUGE difference by the 3rd (2013) year of implementation. My two youngest were just getting started in those years and neither one of them had a problem filling their tags.

I hope we get it re-implemented, regardless of form.

I never got the email initially but got the reminder email yesterday and took the survey. Wish they had a comments section

Same thing happened to me, and just sent it in. I too wish they would have provided a comment section, but they really don't want our opinion on the real issues with big game management!

Sounds like Shaniqua needs to learn how to populate mass emails more effectively

Four point restriction for all whitetail bucks (3 points with eye guards 1 inch or larger) and all late season hunts are 4 point only through the draw.  My two cents.  Probably not worth much!!! :twocents:
