V8 Powered Jeep Wrangler crashes Ford Bronco party
« on: July 13, 2020, 12:02:02 PM »
Appears to just be a concept vehicle at this point and maybe they're just throwing it out there to mess with Ford, on the eve of the Bronco's return, but a 450hp V8 powered Wrangler Rubi would be pretty cool.

I've had a couple Wranglers, my last being an 08 Rubi with the mini van 3.8 V6 motor that was unbelievably gutless.  I know the newer 3.6 V6 is quite a bit better than the POS 3.8 but a 450hp V8 Rubi would be sweet.

The Wrangler lil 2 liter turbo has more oomph that the V6 and gets 23+ mpg.

Nothing fun about it. Competitive Google Ad word campaigns are EXTREMELY expensive. Google prices the search results by relevancy. 4x4, or Offroad is one price, but 2021 Bronco is going to be far more expensive.

If one of our competitors wants to serve an ad that appears above our exact product name, it can cost up to $300 a click, and we aren't even in the same universe as Jeep and Ford when it comes to brand recognition and amount of searches.

I've got a '19 SRT Durango with that powerplant. 475 HP and AWD, imagine a 4x4 with lockers! Wonder why the 25HP loss?

There have been Hemi wranglers for years. Built by American Exploration Vehicles. AEV.

They are going to have a hard time trying to cool an engine that big in a Wrangler.  The Gladiator had to get an extra grill slot for cooling.  The Gladiator diesel will have a lower tow rating than the 3.6L because of cooling issues.

The wrangler 4xe looks pretty cool. 31 miles silently on the battery.

I'm sure there is a SVT or Saleen or Cobra on a drawing board as we speak just for taking some jeeps lunch money.

If you're talking about the AEV Wranglers, there is little grills/grates all over the hood for increased air flow. They have a 6.2 Hemi kit you can do if you want. They've got them pretty well dialed.
