Please watch this video and tell me what you think about these cameras. This is the most in depth comparison out there.

If you are going to mount on a scope as opposed to a shotgun barrel or something I can recommend the EagleVision setup with their lens and a gopro. You can capture 240fps which is ideal for slow mo. The tactcams have been real crappy on me for battery life.

and Hero 7. There's some dude in S Africa that has a youtube channel on how to install lens.

Otherwise get an ATN X-Sight 4K pro. they're really sweet. I happen to have both the eagleivision setup and that ATN

If you are shooting at 240fps it will not be that great at low light. However the ATN works great in low light because you can switch back to night vision... except it doesn't capture 240fps which is a widely accepted sweet spot for slow mo

I've heard reports where the tactacams are horrible with battery life. Only lasting up to 2.5 hours and that's when turned off.

I can confirm that even with battery off, it drains. You need to have a battery charger with you all the time.

What you can do with a tactacam is use it in a static position to film with a remote control to turn off/on. With the remote you can control something like 5 cameras simultaneously. More than I would ever want. So... if you had a bait pile or decoy out somewhere then you could get different angles on the activity with multiple cameras. One button to turn on/off multiple cameras.
