« on: August 11, 2020, 06:16:01 PM »
Anyone using an MSR Hubba Hubba NX2 tent... any thoughts, like-dislike?
Thanks so much!

I have the original Hubba Hubba.  Don't know about the NX2.

MSR is good quality.  Haven't had any issues with it.

I wanted one until I got inside. I'm 6'4 and even though it is 84 inches long the angle of the walls makes it to short in length for a taller person. My feet and head touched the end walls.

Big Agnes Copper Spur UL2 is almost a half pound lighter 2 inches wider and 6 inches longer and similar money

Agreed.  In addition to the Hubba Hubba, I also have the Big Agnes UL3 and they are light and roomy.  Very nice tents.

I screwed up and got a mountainsmith 2 place, but I think my next tent is going to be a hot tent

I've seen it but don't own one.  It's a good quality tent (I'll keep my value/$ opinions to myself though).

At 6'2", the hubba series tents have all been too small for me.  I use a Slingfin Crossbow 2 (OEM version of the Stone Glacier 2p tents) when the trip requires a tent.  Most of the time for hunting I use a slingfin tarp shelter.

I was looking for a tent and just ordered/received the naturehike mongar2 tent. It is almost the exact tent at lower price tag. You can check this one out.
