We had a successful opening morning. My brother shot the bigger buck while I shot the smaller. It was the first time I took my son so the size did not matter all that much. We (buddy) ended up getting another buck on sunday too.

Opening morning was not what we expected.  With hunters everywhere, I was surprised to find this buck bedded between multiple different groups of hunters.  After sneaking in from a 1000 yards out getting to 400 and missing, he came running torwards me.  I finally got him at 250 broadside and he rolled all the way to the bottom.  I one tripped him out solo as my buddy drove the truck to the bottom to pick me up.
A bad day out hunting is better than a good day at work!

I had a second deer tag this year and a multi-season tag. Filled the doe tag in September and found a nice fat blacktail yesterday
