Hey HuntWa-er’s - looks like I'll be able to get a late ice trip in to get some fresh Alaskan troll coho down to you guys. Hook and line, landed one at a time, pressure-bled and iced immediately. As before, these are random-sized troll dress coho packed in 80# net weight boxes. Actual weights may vary by a pound or two. Hoping for a 7# average size. This is a “first to post, first served” situation, as I don't know how many I'll have to sell. Could be 10 boxes, could be 40.
There won't be any other species available, this is a straight coho run.
Coho price this year is $5.00/#, plus airfreight. Airfreight typically runs from $72-$78 a box (plus $10 screening fees per shipment) for the major airports serviced by AK Air, depending on which airport you'll be picking up from. Smaller airports serviced by Horizon will be more expensive to ship to.
I’m looking at shipping these fish out next Friday the 18th. This might change a day or two either way. If your airport's Alaska Airlines Cargo office has refrigerated storage, you can pick up within 48 hours of arrival. If it doesn't have refrigerated storage, you'll want to pick them up as soon as you can after they land. I'll send an airway bill number for you to track with each shipment. I've had a lot of success in keeping fish nice and cold with my packaging, but it has its limits.
How to order:
Please post on this thread to indicate how many boxes of coho you’d like, and which airport you'll be picking them up from (only airports with direct service by Alaska and Horizon airlines). Something along the lines of "Skillet will take 2 boxes to SeaTac". If you're looking to partner up with somebody on a box, that's great - but I can only have one addressee per order. So after you figure out your deal with your partner, one of you will place the order. If you haven't bought from me before (or your cell # has changed), please text me from a number the airlines can contact you at. Something like “skillet from HuntWa here, ordered 2 boxes of coho to SeaTac.” A little bit of a hassle, but necessary for my first time buyers. If I don't get that text from a cell number, I’ll have to bump your order down the list until I get it. My cell is 206-579-6715. It may take me a couple of days to get back to you, as I'm often out of cell coverage.
How to pay:
First, let me emphasize how important is it to a small timer like me that if you place an order, please pay promptly. Especially this year, cash flow has been really tight and for me to keep doing these I need to rely on the integrity of the HuntWa family to follow though on their commitments. For repeat customers, mailing me a check or PayPal “friends and family” is fine. I'll get you your total via text after I ship them out. For first time buyers, if you're well-established on the site, I'll probably still take a check if you don't want to PayPal. If you're new here, let's chat before you place your order. I don't mind taking a chance on the new folks here, but a box of fresh coho adds up to quite a bit of capital for a guy like me. Especially this year.
Combined shipments: Wherever possible, please place multiple orders together. If five friends each want one box each, if possible please have one guy order and pick them all up at once. It will save me a lot of time and you a lot of freight.
I will also be taking only one payment per combined order. Once I ship, I will text the total due to the number I have for the member who ordered, along with my PayPal account.
@h20hunter has again agreed to help out by keeping up a list of members and their orders on this first post while I'm out fishing.
Thanks in advance for the support folks. I know the weekend timing during archery isn't great, but it's the last chance this year I'll have to do this. I know everyone has felt the impacts from Covid in different ways, but if you want to support a small business in a very meaningful way and put up some great protien for your family, this is a way to do it.
Thanks for all of your support, HuntWa – in the past and going forward.

PS: I don't have access to any images right now, so if some folks who have bought my fresh coho before could post up a few to show the newb’s what they are, I'd appreciate it!
