2020 Idaho archery bull

DIY public land.  1st time hunting this area but it was a lot of fun to figure out!  Hard to pass up a freezer filler.  #tagtofreezer

You should have that bulls age estimated. What does it's teeth look like? Just a unique looking rack!
Good question.  He had a decent body but was a pretty small main frame 5.  I will check the teeth (still have it waiting to do a euro) My guess was 3.5 rather than regressing.

I agree, he has a young bull look to him. His head in particular

I'd have needed new underwear after that, nice job!

2020 Washington Roosevelt Herd Bull
My first elk

He had 3 cows with him. I was solo and called him close before his cows called my bluff. I charged in using the bull calling cows bugle which enraged him forcing him to fight. He circled me and a quick cow call got him to stop and turn broadside for a quick 28 yard shot through the brush for a double lung shot. Couldn't be happier with my first elk.

2020 DIY/Public Land Idaho, called him into 15 yards, frontal.  2 min later and 40 yards away he was down!  All solo, what a trek.  2nd Archery Bull in 3 seasons, 3rd bull in 4 seasons (snuck a rifle bull in there), starting to look like I might know what I'm doing (but I seriously do not).  Cow call, all the way in.

EDIT: *It looks like I'm the only one who is able to kill elk without a $150 Tight Spot quiver*  :chuckle:
