This thread is for those who have their own freeze dryer..

I intend to share recipes and discuss ingredients to make homemade meals that are nutritious, and pack the needed calories without leaving you with a heavy gut.

Ya, was like one of the first things I made.

Girls just had to have them

but ya, once you make them a couple times the novelty wears off very quickly.

Lets resurrect this topic.  I will be purchasing one of the medium harvest right freeze dryers in the next day or so.  My parents have had one for awhile and love it, so I figured it's time I get one too.

Maybe this time kfhunter will actually share a recipe as the title says, haha  :chuckle:
Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

I'm interested in this.  I have made tons of dried meals in my dehydrator, but the quality is less than great.  I would love to freeze dry a lot of stuff.  Has anyone tried to freeze dry just plain meat?
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

I wouldn't buy a freeze dryer right now, they're having problems with the factory in China putting out crap.

Well, I don't think it's going to get any better so I recend my advice not to get one.  Just make double sure you get the freeze dryer damage free and do not sign for the freeze dryer until you've inspected it thoroughly right off the fedex truck!

Make sure the hoses are there, make sure the pump is there, people have been getting shorted on items that should be there so make dang sure what all you're expecting and its all there upon arrival.

Don't order from 3rd party vendors, order directly from harvest right. 3rd party vendors have been getting crazy stuff like European plugs instead of US plugs and missing stuff.

Do not accept a damaged machine, refuse to sign for it and let the fedex guy haul it away.  Harvest right has agreements with fedex and in your purchase you've paid for insurance and inspection of the item upon delivery.

Harvest right is the only consumer size freeze dryer on the market besides alibaba knock offs.

If you buy one, good luck and don't compromise.
