WTB Pt. Defiance spoons
« on: October 01, 2020, 01:37:00 PM »
Lost the last one the other night and am hoping someone might have some laying around. I know there are alternatives, but I’m sorta nostalgic.

Thanks!

The “new to you” store in port orchard has a fishing booth in it and they have all kinds of old fishing gear. I have a blue one, but it’s probably not worth meeting up for one spoon. Also hood canal discount tackle for sure has a number of them, but he isn’t open all the time so that could be tough.

How is your success rate with them?

They are as good as any of the newer stuff IMHO.

I like fishing with vintage equipment.

That's cool, I will as well at times. Good luck in your search.

I love using some of the old stuff too. I inherited my grandpa’s tacklebox and a lot of his were mostly hand carved from the 50s and 60s. I used to catch quite a few fish with some of them, then I lost a few and I’m now almost afraid to fish with them. But every once in a while I’ll take one out still.

Thats the shop I was thinking of. Always seems to have a handful of them.

I have to get there this weekend.

Green and white fly’s seem to still work pretty good too.

I have two that you can have if you want them.  I'll never use them again.  I'll mail them to you.
