Blacktails and slash burning
« on: October 24, 2020, 05:25:32 AM »
I see that one of my hunting areas has a bunch of smoldering slash piles with a lot of smoke in the air.  Anybody have any experience/opinions on how this will effect the hunting?

Personally witnessed this at the very end of the 2018 season. Rut was on a 3 different bucks in and very near clear-cut units with smoldering slash piles. I had already tagged out, which is unfortunate because one was an absolute stud.

Go get em and report back what you see.

Thanks for the replies. I can feel good about not changing my plans.
