Congratulations my friend, what you have there is a Boone & Crockett Hunt it's not only what the rack measures its about the experience of the hunt. Great job your hard work has paied off.

great deer and great job! you learned rule number 1.... you cant shoot em if youre not there, that extra hour can be painful at times but as you just learned it can have its perks! congrats!

Great story, and a great buck! I also got my first after 4 years of trying as well this year. Any first buck is a trophy in my eyes!!! Good work, now time to enjoy some venison!

That is what it is all about. I have killed plenty of deer over the years and I still get excited every single time no matter how big or small the buck is. If I ever lose that, I will quit hunting

He also learned rule number 2.  Keep your scope at its lowest power while hunting.  If somethings close, youll want it there.  If somethings far, youll have the opportunity to crank it up.  Ive recently found a fondness for 1-? Power scopes.
