Iv helped a few guys here with instructions on building them they aren't collapsible yet like Bruce's traps but I'm working on that for a later date. I can't take any credit on the design though Bruce has been instrumental on all my traps feeding my any info iv asked big thanks to him! I just help but tinker and build stuff all the time so this is a nice break from my dirt bike quads toyotas chevys and dodge projects

We'll figure it's time, into my fifth season I set my first bobcat trap. Brought my oldest son with me to help out. Cage is set on a bait stations that had been hit hard for a while now. Let me son setup a small cage for stinkers incase they want to be little bait thrives and he brushed it in himself so cross my fingers for a cat this season. Have five more cages to finish building so I can setup a short cat line this year and I'll pair each cat trap with a small cage for skunk baited both with beaver meat

Hope you get a cat! Maybe think about putting a Koro out for those stinkers too.

The hellfire on my gloves is the same thing according to me wife and kids :chuckle: I have what I'm hoping is a scentless dispatch method on hand. Have to catch one to figure out if it works or not. Spent the last several years concentrating on beaver otter and rats and I think iv got those down pretty well figured it's time to expand to land trapping and get stinky!

Back in the '80's when we got a skunk, we'd use what the old guys called a "push stick".  It was whatever length stick you could find handy, and tape the plunger end of a syringe filled with acetone to it.  If you took your time, and were slow and gentle, they wouldn't spray...they'd just go to sleep.  Don't try it on a big boar 'coon though!  It won't work, but will be a lesson on the term, "trap circle".
Work to live, don't live to work.

You can educate away ignorance, sober up drunkenness, but you can't fix stupid.

Nothing yet on the cat line so I expanded with another cat cage a few miles up the road after some odd smells caught my attention coming through the window. From what I can tell something got a hold of a skunk and tore it to pieces, fur was scattered for 20 yard circle or more and the whole area reeks of skunk

So me and the boys set up just below this area in the thicker timber. Real close to an intersection of roads with swamp, second and third growth timber and clear cut. They are having a good time and so am I so it's all worth it
