Good Dog Tags - where to find?
« on: November 19, 2020, 06:21:05 PM »
Where can I get good sturdy dog tags? We’ve been hunting thick cover and the connecting split ring gave out, leaving my boy tagless. The flimsy one last a year or so and wear thru.

Thanks in advance...

www.gundogsupply.com sells a bunch of collars and does custom name plates. I like the TufFLEX.

I would go to double u hound supply they rivet name plate right to collar. My hounds run through the thickest stuff imaginable and only had one side come off in 20 years. Collars wear out before I lose the tag

You can get heavier rings at any hardware store.

Thanks everyone. I ordered the engraved name plate to mount flush on his existing collar, comes with rivets and should last better than the dangling. Thanks again!

The slide on collar ID's have never come off any of my hunting dogs.  There are various different models and styles, depending on type of dog collar.
