I did tomato juice. 2 jugs worth and bathed the dog in the river. After that I shampooed him with "Natures Miracle" twice. It helped, but the smell lingers for a few months. His shock collar still stinks ha.
Good luck

Our dog gets at least one if not two or three or four a year. My wife uses a shampoo I think it’s called skunk off. There’s a few different Dog shampoos that are designed just for that you can find on Amazon. The sooner you can get them bathed the better. If we notice it right when it happens it comes off pretty easily. If it has a chance to dry it’s a lot harder. Hardest spots are around their eyes and in their mouth. And yeah forget about the collars they are pretty much toast unless you plan on letting them hang out in the barn for 6 to 12 months

When I was an Auto Detailer I used to say, "Smoker car, huh? Do you want to pay the standard price and get about 50% of it, or do you want to pay the premium price and get about 80% of it?!?!"

I haven't found ANYHING that'll get it all, like a magical elixir.  The Baking soda/dawn dish soap / hydrogen peroxide  mixture works, but you'll need to hit 'em hard, about three days in a row, warmer water the better, and it'll get about 80% of it. Only time will get the rest of it though.

I have a Pyrenees, he either loves getting sprayed by them or hates em so much he has to try and get em. Either way, we always do hydrogen peroxide and then blue dawn dish soap. Like others have said it ain’t gonna take the smell out all the way but with my dog and having both long hair and fur it works good enough.

Hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dawn dish soap.  Mix together.  Works pretty well.  Will cut stench by 50-75%.  A second bsth next day also helps.  I learned the hard way...

Natures Miracle Skunk Odor Remover is good stuff.

My avatar is my GWP after a tomato juice bath.  Not particularly effective...  He was not amused.
