I was the other permit holder for the same time frame.  Dagon and I shared messages and a phone call before and after the hunt. We both filled our tags on the morning of the opener.  We did it on opposite ends of the unit though.  Had a beautiful day for weather as an extra bonus.

It was a new experience to take a cow with a rifle and watch five branch bulls run off about 300 hundred yards and start a bugle frenzy.  Then one of the bulls started walking back closer until I got up and started moving toward the cow that was down.

Had a great experience all around.

Yeah if you draw that tag bring more than one friend. I drew it and was beat up packing the cow out.  We did it in two trips.
