What's the story on electric motors?? Can't find one anywhere. Cabelas won't even take an order and then back order it. Can't even find anything on Craigslist. Minn kotas or Motor guide doesn't matter..... they are all out of stock.

Almost impossible to find right now. I just upgraded from a Minn Kota 55lb Powerdrive 54in to a Terrova I-Pilot 80 and it took 4 months plus to receive it. If you are interested in the Powerdrive I would make you a great deal cause I will never use it again. It works great and I just bought a new $125 foot pedal for it.

I will be headed your direction to Banks Lake fishing from May 14th to 25th staying at Steamboat and could bring it with me if you want to check it out? It is only a 55lb thrust but might get you by until more are available?

Hey, thanks for the offer. I have a foot control Minn Kota on my new boat but want to upgrade to one of the wireless models. Has to be 70 or 80 lb thrust. Should have swapped the Motor Guide wireless off the boat I just sold.

I’m gonna replace my Motorguide XI5 with the ulterra this week. Might get some other new stuff too. Might as well spend it so the govt doesn’t take it some how

Nice
Been kicking the can around for a new 80lb ipilot Terrova. The 55lb is working just want more juice up front. Then I see the cost  :yike: and say 55 still works

I LOVE my 80lb. Terrova. That was one of thee best investments for our boat. Since I’m up front operating the electric motor I have more fishing time with with the anchor button. I really liked it on the slow moving rivers/reservoirs. We’d hit a hot smallmouth pocket and the anchor would hold us nicely in one spot until we were ready to moved again. The auto pilot is great too.

Now you guys have me thinking about fishing.  I was planning on upgrading to a more family-friendly boat, but that's not going to happen for a few years.  So I'm looking for a trolling motor for a 16' sled that will mainly be used in Eastern WA lakes.  Will a 12 volt 55 lbs be enough or am I going to wish I had more?  Also what length of shaft should I be looking for.  Here's the boat:

I have a 45lb edge on the front of my 1754 Grizzly. Plenty of power, even in the wind. I would think a 55lb would do well on that 16'.

minnkota rates 2lbs of thrust for every 100lbs
