Didn’t the magazine ban in California get overturned recently?

It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...

You think this has to do with storming the Capitol!?  Democrats have been after our guns and have already introduced magazine ban bills in the past.  This has nothing to do with the event that just took place and everything to due with Democrats getting control.

I got a response back from my state senators aide.  My senator is John Braun a Republican. He is obviously against the bill. They also informed me about another bill, SB 5038 that would prohibit open carry of certain weapons at a public demonstration and the state capital.
This one warrants a letter to your senator.
By the way, the sponsors of SB 5078 did it at the request of our esteemed attorney general Ferguson. You can send him a email at https://www.atg.wa.gov/contact-us

I sent comments to my legislators
Got a good response back from Sen Tim Sheldon

“ Thank you for contacting me regarding SB 5078, prohibiting large capacity magazines.

Senate Bill 5078 is another attempt by urban legislators to impose their views on rural counties.  We grew up with firearms and have a deep and strong respect for the Second Amendment to our US Constitution.  Bills like SB 5078, if passed, will chip away at your Second Amendment rights, and open the door for more unconstitutional legislation.  I am adamantly opposed to the bill.

Got this back from Senator Billig.

All my best,
