Stating that a Form 1 suppressor will save you time and money, that's not a genuine statement.

I think my sico sparrow was around 400?I have $3-400 into my 30cal form 1 can, we put it up against a sico omega 30 and the sico owner said he is going to build his own from now on.You need no special tooling.Wait time for a form1 is under 30 days, all mine have been 22-26 day waits. And the stamp costs the same, no matter what form you use...

Nothing I wrote was incorrect. Form 1's have nothing to do with selling suppressors. I actually understand the process just fine.Yes, the tax stamp is $200 no matter what form you use, and as I wrote "$205" when you're purchasing a suppressor through SilencerShop is also correct. https://www.silencershop.com/form-4-tax-stamp.htmlA person does need a tool of some sort to complete the manufacturing process. Perhaps all they need is drill and a cutter. Perhaps they need a drill jig as well. If they don't have either, they will need to acquire one. A drill may not be special, but, if you don't have one, it will have to be acquired. As for your friend, that's great. I don't know what all metrics you used to compare and what the results are but, good for both of you getting out there to compare.

I don't know what all metrics you used to compare and what the results are but, good for both of you getting out there to compare.I think you are forgetting that many people already have the tools and knowledge required to build a form-1 can, whether done from a solvent trap style kit, or completely from scratch. For those people who already have the tools and knowledge, yes, it is a huge cost savings because each can costs just $200 for a stamp and $10-$300 in materials. Recent reports say the wait times for form-1 is about a month--compared to about a year for a form-4.If you are really pricing out your time for manufacturing, then sure that would add some cost. But for me, I'd rather build a form-1 can in the garage than watch a football game on TV. The time to build the can is free entertainment for me. As for quality and if you mess it up....? Many people are competent enough with shop tools to build a can without messing it up. Go slow, measure twice, cut once. No problem. For people who don't have knowledge or access to shop tools, form-4 cans are great. For people who just want to pay money and have someone else guarantee that it is built right, form-4 cans are great. For people who want to know exactly what decibel rating and other spec's their can will have before they purchase, form-4 cans are great. For people who have a set budget of say $1,000 and would rather do some machining themselves and end up with 4 cans instead of just 1, form-1 cans are great.

I like others have a desire to hunt suppressed, but the added length Is very undesirable.Do you have any overbarrel suppressors that you recommend? Adding 4-5” sounds much better than 8+.I dream of a day when more firearms have integrated suppressors like that ruger 10-22 and that gunwerks light saber.
I don’t have anything like that on hand.
